My Ukes

June 2017

More than five years ago I started this blog with two ukuleles, the ones in the cover pic... the Greg Bennett concert and the Slingerland banjo-uke.

I don't "collect", but my collection has steadily grown. My latest uke is my Beltona resonator.
I need to do an up-to-date photo of my wooden ukuleles, but for now, here's a list

Greg Bennett UK50 concert, mahogany laminate - the first uke, 2005!
Tanglewood Cove Creek TU7-XM concert laminate "lacewood" - now the "summerhouse uke"
Mahalo soprano, pale blue - the travel uke
Mahalo soprano, white - the one I won - the autograph uke!
Antonio Carvalho tenor, koa - the low G uke
Pete Howlett "Marmite" tenor solid electro, bird's eye maple - strung low G
VOX concert solid electro, also battery - strung low G
Makala baritone, mahogany laminate - strung for high D tuning with Living Water Strings
DJ Morgan solid mahogany concert
DJ Morgan soprano (14 frets to the body) solid spruce top, solid bird's eye maple back and sides
DJ Morgan mini-pineapple in maple
DJ Morgan soprano, solid mahogany
Beltona resonator, concert

Gretsch guitalele

Slingerland banjo-ukulele, bird's eye maple, near mint condition, 1920's (currently tuned in E)
Dallas D banjo-ukulele, about 1940 (currently tuned in C)
Gibson UB2 banjo-ukulele, 1927 (currently tuned in D)

I've written about most of these ukuleles somewhere in this blog, and I do love all these babies. If you want to find the posts, just search the tag cloud at the bottom, or type in the search box near the top...

Thanks for looking! I'll try to keep the page updated and may well write more detail here...
